Social Media Manager

Society of Saleswomen serves the professional sales community by uniting, connecting and empowering women in sales to come together, learn together and make a difference together.  As a nonprofit organization, we rely heavily on word of mouth and social media to help us tell the story and attract an audience that is seeking guidance, support and continual professional development. This is a great learning opportunity for someone that is interested in owning marketing and social media from beginning to end for a growing nonprofit organization that is passionate and dedicated to helping the people they serve.  The Social Media Manager is responsible for planning, implementing, managing and monitoring company's Social Media strategy in order to increase brand awareness, improve Marketing efforts, and increase membership and event attendance.  Not sure how to do all this? No poblem!  At SOS, we believe in learning as we go!  You will have a full support system from the SOS Team!


What we would love you to do:

* Help to implement and manage our social media strategy

* Define most important social media KPIs

* Manage and oversee social media content

* Measure the success of social media campaigns

* Stay up to date with latest social media best practices and technologies

* Use social media marketing tools

* Work with COO to copywrite and design content to ensure it is informative and appealing

* Monitor SEO and user engagement and suggest content optimization

* Communicate with industry professionals and influencers via social media to create a strong network/form PODs

* Daily engagement

* Reports to COO 


Wish List for the Role:

* Excellent knowledge of Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Instagram, and other social media best practices

* Understanding of SEO and web traffic metrics

* Experience with doing audience and buyer persona research

* Good understanding of social media KPIs

* Excellent multitasking skills

* Great interpersonal, presentation and communication skills

* Interest and love for social media

* Passion and commitment to giving back to the community

* Desire to learn, every day
